Subject: Details about theft and grief activities happened among Sneax and tohich12

On 2024-04-02 at 02:45:51, Sneax sent an in-game mail via the /report interface, asking for the moderator's help to get back their items from "him".

Later at 06:40:13, y5nw referred the case to me, stating the following:
1. He recalls there was a house located next to the coast (now area 241, (-76,2,-554))
2. Lava was placed above tohich12's house (now area 244, (-93,8,-586)), and the lava was covering up "something" (probably the house, because the leaves blocking the lava flow were placed later e.g. at 13:17:44)

After investigating, the following conclusions were made:
1. tohich12 stole Sneax's item from Sneax's underground storage room (within area 162, (48,3,-514)).
2. Sneax poured lava over tohich12's house and built the cobblestone pillar at the coast.
3. No evidence shows there was a house located next to the coast. The leaves were placed after the grief happens.

The following actions were taken:
1. Most items stolen from Sneax by tohich12 were returned to Sneax via baskets. For currencies not found in tohich12's chests, they were taken from tohich12's bank account and sent to Sneax's. Other missing items were listed in a book and attached.
2. The lava source (in a bucket) and the protector block placed above tohich12's home were removed and returned to Sneax.
3. All protectors placed by tohich12 around their builds were removed, replaced by two higher areas protected using commands. The protector blocks were returned to tohich12.
4. Sneax and tohich12 were banned for one day because of griefing and stealing respectively.

Here are the ban reasons:
Sneax: Griefing tohich12's house. You should not take revenge on other player's actions - instead, report them to the moderators as soon as possible. Additionally, you should consider using locked or protected chests to keep your items out of other players' reach.
tohich12: Stealing Sneax's items. You should respect the ownership of properties of others, even if they are not protected. By the way, I have replaced your small, chunked protector block areas with two big and high protection areas to prevent further griefing.

Here are some suggestions:
1. Sneax should use non-open chests to store their items. For all sizes of chests, locked and protected variants are available, allowing only the placer or all area owners to use the chest.
2. tohich12 can use commands (e.g. /area_pos set; /protect) to protect their builds. Those areas can span up to 128 blocks in height, increasing the difficulty of lava griefing.
